The Institute for Religion, Politics and Culture is dedicated to the objective study of religion's influence on American and world history, as well as its contemporary role and continuing relevance in cultural and political life. The Institute stresses openness to argument, and sensitivity to contending viewpoints.
Funded by private individuals and foundations, the Institute has established a number of already-successful initiatives, including
- the Oxford Research Seminar
- a Distinguished Speakers series
- international partnerships
- a peer-reviewed book series
- a leadership scholars program
- a junior associates program
